Kumta: A driver was injured when his truck collided with a  tanker in the early hours of 12th April, Wednesday on Divgi bridge, NH66 in Kumta. The injured driver has been​ identified as Purvinder Madivala. He was immediately taken to Kumta govt hospital for treatments.

The incident took place when a speedy tanker applied sudden brakes, which ultimately made the truck at the behind to lose control and went on colliding tanker at the rear.

Traffic breakdown for a while was seen on the bridge due to the incident, after which the police personnel rushed and made it clear.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
