Kumta: Attending a funeral in Bhatkal during the lockdown costed a man in Kumta so much that he has been home quarantined on his return to the town.
According to sources, the Kumta man, whose in-laws is in Bhatkal, had been to Bhatkal a day before the lockdown to attend the last rites of one of his relatives. He had been to Bhatkal with his wife, son and sister-in-law. After attending the rituals, he returned Kumta on the same day. Later, 12 cases of Corona came to light in Bhatkal and the town was locked down.
It is reported that when the man returned to Kumta, he and his family were home quarantined and urged not to leave their homes. Meanwhile, it is reported that when his elder brother opened the shop on Sunday, a complaint was given to the police, on the basis of which police ordered to close the shop and his brother has also been given home quarantine.
