Kumta: Foundation stone laying ceremony for a new Jamia Masjid at Kimani in Kumta was held on 26th December, Monday, in the morning, in the presence of Ulamas from Kumta and Bhatkal. Several leaders from muslim organizations were also present at the event.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Naat and Qur'an by the students of madrasa following the welcome speech was addressed by Janab Ali Damkar.
Present as a guest, Imam and Khateeb of Noor Masjid Bhatkal, Maulana Muhammad Ameen addressed the ceremony by enlightening the importance of Masjids in Islam. Also he encouraged the management behind the initiative of constructing a new masjid.
Maulana Iqbal Naite and Maulana Iqbal Bangali too delivered the inspiring and motivating lecture on the importance of Masjid.
The foundation was laid by Janab Ismail Hasan Damudi of Bhatkal, followed by several dignitories took part in the further proceeding work.
On this occasion president of Kimani JamatUl Muslimeen Janab Abdul Rahman, Kumta Jamat-Ul-Muslimeen president Muhammad Shafi Shaikh, vice-president Muhammad Mohsin Quazi, president of Mirzan Jamat-Ul-Muslimeen Janab Badruddin Shaikh, Secretary Abdul Shukur, Janab Nooruddin Saheb from Betkuli, Kumta muslim association president Muhammad Akbar Mulla, Maulana Ahmed, Janab Abdul Malik Basti, Janab Shukur Shaikh and hundreds of residents from Kimani witnessed the event.
