Karwar (DHNS): District In-charge Minister RV Deshpande handed over title deeds of land, for construction of ultra-modern cancer hospital with the help of Mumbai Tata cancer Institute, to the staff of Karwar Medical College, at ZP auditorium, in Karwar, on Sunday.
The cancer hospital will function under Karwar Medical College.
The Mumbai Tata Cancer Institute will provide financial aid for purchase of ultra-modern equipment required for the hospital.
The site has been finalised after submitting a memorandum to forest Right Committee. The cancer hospital will cone up on 0.99 hectare on Survey Number 17 ‘A’ Sirwad.
Speaking after handing over the title deed, he said, the cancer hospital, which will be constructed with Tata Samsthe’s CSR fund, will strive to provide the best service to people of this region.
