Kerala youth dies after falling while boarding moving train at Murdeshwar

Bhatkal: A 22-year-old youth from Kerala tragically lost his life while attempting to board a moving train at Murdeshwar Railway Station on Saturday evening around 6 PM.

The deceased, identified as Mohammed Rameez from Shoranur in Kerala, was returning from Ajmer along with two companions on the Marusagar Express. According to his friends, the train had halted at Murdeshwar, and Rameez got off to buy a water bottle. As he returned, the train had already started moving. In an attempt to board the moving train, he lost his balance and fell into the gap between the train and the platform.

Rameez sustained serious head injuries. He was immediately rushed to Bhatkal Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance, but doctors declared him brought dead.

After post-mortem and legal procedures, the body will be sent to Kerala. Local social workers, including Irshad Siddiqua and Nazeer Qasimji, are assisting with all necessary arrangements.
