Karwar: District In-charge Secretary K P Mohanraj, who held a video conference interaction with government officers in Karwar on Monday, appreciated the officers for implementing lockdown in an effective manner in the district. He said that the officers must remain in their headquarters and continue working actively to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Deputy Commissioner K Harishkumar said that village-level health teams were yet to visit door-to-door to collect information on health of people. Asha workers must make phone calls and collect information.
He said that those coming from other districts/States or those who have travelled to other districts/States must compulsorily get health check-up done in the nearest flu centres. After the check-up, they must be stamped as ‘quarantined’. They must be kept under 14-day home quarantine and if someone does not agree to it, they must be accommodated in government quarantine centre.
He said, personal and pass details of those entering the district must be collected at the check-post in the prescribed format. Those details must be sent to the DC office every day.
SP Shivaprakash Devaraju said that those coming from other districts/States tahsildars must co-operate with the Police Department and conduct surveys by identifying red, orange and green zones. Survey in the red zone must be conducted on a daily-basis, once in two weeks in orange zone and once a week in green zone. The tahsildars must have information on every death happening in the area.
