Karwar: Zilla Panchayat President Jayashree Mogere flagged off a vehicle-Nalkane Varshada Kadege Baravaseya Nadige-of Information and Public Relation Department to disseminate information regarding various government programmes in rural areas at ZP office in Karwar on Monday.

Speaking after the inauguration she said that the State government has started several programme for the benefit of rural people. Programmes such as Anna Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Vidyashri, Maithri, Pusubagya, agriculture tools, agriculture pond and others. There is a need to make people aware of these programmes. So, this vehicle has been launched. Folk artiste create awareness among people with their plays and folk songs. She urged people to take benefit of these schemes.

The vehicle, along with the artists, will travel across 30 villages of Haliyal and Mundgod in the next 15 days.
