IGP Arun Chakravarthy asked to use the latest technology law & order in Karwar.

Karwar: The newly recruited police staff should make use of latest technology to maintain law and order in society, said: IGP (Western range) Arun Chakravarthy.

He was speaking after receiving guard of honour from 10th batch of civil police constable trainees at Karwar Police constable Trainees at Karwar Police Parade Maidan on Friday.

He said, there is a lot of difference in police recruitments held 30 years ago and now. These days, even graduates and postgraduates apply for the post, he said.

One can avail information across the world with the help of internet. The staff should avail benefits of it, he said,

A total of 150 trainees from Bagalkot, Vijaypur and other districts availed training in the nine-month training provided by temporary trainings school here. The 10th batch of civil police constable trainees held an attractive march past on the occasion.

IGP (Western range) Arun Chakravarthy presented the ‘Sarvottan’ award to trainee Santosh Dharannavar and DGP Trophy was presented to the Tejaswin Naik for their outstanding achievements during the training period.

Indoor: Siddarameshwar S (first), Shekhatgouda (second) Santosh Dharannavar (third).

Outdoor: Santosh Dharanavar (first), N Madhu (second), Satish Biradar (third).

Faring: Parashuram Atanu (first), Prakash Bhajantri(second), Suresh Kannuru (third).
