Karwar: A memorandum was submitted by the Disabled and Parents Union district unit office bearers to the Additional Superintendent of Police, K G Devraj demanding the police to arrest the accused of a rape case reported at Karki village, Honnavar.

It was reported that a minor girl belonging to the village was allegedly raped by accused Subramanya Rama Bhandari causing the girl to be pregnant. A case was registered against him at Honnavar police station on 12th March, Sunday, but no action has been taken against him so far.

ASP devraj, responding to the appeal said that he will be instructing the concerned station to take the case seriously and start investigation.

Janashakti Vedike President Madava Naik, Union district unit office bearers Praveen shetty, Chandrashekar Nayak and Bharati Patgar were presnent during the submission.
