Sirsi: Janata Dal (secular) district unit leaders and workers will stage a hunger strike on March 14 from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM infront of Mini Vidhana Soudha in Sirsi, urging the state government and the centre, to initiate measures to solve the problems being faced by the farmers.
Briefing reporters here on saturday, JD(S) leader Shashibushan Hegde said that the state governments have been neglecting the farmers who are in dire trouble. Both the state and the union governments are not taking necessary steps to waive off crop loans obtained by the farmers.

Both the state government and centre should initiate measures to waive off crop loans to migrate the sufferings of the farmers, hegde pointed out. He said that the strike's purpose was to draw the government's attention to farmers.
