JAIPUR/SIKAR: The bandh called by Opposition parties as part of the 'Jan Aakrosh Divas' being observed across the nation against the government over the demonetisation issue received lukewarm response in Rajasthan as normal life remained unaffected. 

The AAP held a demonstration at Transport Nagar in Jaipur against the demonetisation and the Centre's failure to make prior arrangements for distribution of new currency. 

"Preparations should have been made before demonetising the currency notes. People are facing hardships in exchanging scrapped notes and are left with no cash-in-hand. Normal life has been badly hit," AAP leader Amit Lio alleged. 

The CPI took out a march to protest demonetisation while the ABVP took out a rally against the Opposition's bandh call in the city amid tight security arrangements.
