Mangaluru: The Income Tax department officials raided the house of Congress Legislature U T Khader’s brother, U T Ifthikar, on Thursday.

Ifthikar’s lighthouse hill road apartment in the city was raided by the IT officials. It is said that the officials have seized important documents from the apartment and are subjecting them to an investigation.

Since Wednesday, IT Officials have carried out a series of raids on the assets belonging to prominent businessmen in Mangaluru. As part of the same operation, U T Ifthikar’s house was also raided.

Raid on his house came in the aftermath of raids on owners of a few Medical Colleges and Hospitals in the city.
