INF to organise free AI-powered cardiac screening camp in Bhatkal on July 18-19

Bhatkal: The Indian Nawayath Forum (INF) will organise a free two-day AI-powered cardiac screening camp titled "One Heart – One Life" on July 18 and 19 at MM Siddique Hall, Bunder road, Bhatkal, with senior cardiologists from leading hospitals in Karnataka and Kerala offering free consultations, diagnostic screening and preventive heart health assessments.

Speaking to SahilOnline, Lanka Ghufran Ahmed, Convener of the One Heart – One Life initiative, said the camp has been organised in response to what the organisers have observed as an increasing number of sudden cardiac arrest cases among young and middle-aged people in Bhatkal over the past two years.

"Many serious heart conditions remain undetected until they become life-threatening. Through this preventive screening initiative, we hope to identify hidden cardiac problems at an early stage and encourage timely medical intervention," he said.

The camp will provide free ECG, echocardiography (ECHO), blood tests, specialist cardiac consultations, digital reports and follow-up services. The organisers said AI-enabled digital tools will also be used to streamline registration, appointment management and patient follow-up.
A panel of senior consulting cardiologists will lead the programme, including Dr. Salman Salahuddin and team from Aster MIMS, Kozhikode, Dr. Ali Faizal and team from MyHart Foundation and Starcare Hospital, Kozhikode, and Dr. Yusuf Kumble and team from Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, Mangaluru.

According to the organisers, the programme has been divided into two phases. Physician screening will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while specialist consultations by the visiting cardiologists will be held on Sunday, July 19, from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Online registration has commenced through https://inf.lyff.app, where participants can register for the camp. After completing the prescribed blood tests, registered participants will be able to download their appointment card, while the portal will also allow them to track their token number and estimated waiting time on the day of the camp.

The organisers said free blood tests will be conducted at designated partner laboratories before the camp, and the reports will be reviewed by the consulting cardiologists during the screening process. Walk-in registration assistance is also available at the INF Dialysis Centre, Welfare Hospital, Bhatkal, particularly for those requiring help with the registration process.

Ghufran appealed to residents to make use of the opportunity by registering at the earliest, as the number of slots is limited. While the camp is open to everyone, he said the initiative particularly encourages participation by young and middle-aged adults to facilitate early detection of heart disease.

The organisers have requested the public to share information about the camp with family members and friends to ensure that more people benefit from the free cardiac screening initiative.
