Bhatkal: "Inayatullah Shahbandari's victory in the next assembly elections in Bhatkal assembly constituency is certain. He was defeated in the last elections with a small number of votes. Senior JDS leaders will visit Bhatkal and try to create public awareness in favour of Inayatullah and will unite all members and work hard for his victory", said State President of JDS Youth Unit N M Noor Ahmed during his Bhatkal visit on Saturday.

Talking to reporters, Noor Ahmed said, when Kumaraswamy was the Chief Minister of the state, he had waived off the debts of farmers which had brought relief to thousands of farmers as well as other backward classes. He said, most of the senior leaders in the Congress today were former members of the JDS who later joined the Congress, including former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

"During the last assembly elections, our party was discredited by calling it as the BJP's 'B' party, which led to our defeat, but post-elections, people came to know the truth," he added.

Noor Ahmed said that now the situation is not the same as before.  The people are well aware of how Kumaraswamy was ousted from power. "All this will not work in the future, now the party workers will work together", he noted.

Further speaking, Bhatkal JDS President Inayatullah Shahbandri said that JDS workers had extended immense help to the people during the COVID-19 lockdown. With regard to handing over of COVID related dead bodies to family members, he had talked to the top officials of the district too. He also explained about the various works done by the JDS in the constituency.

On this occasion JDS Youth Committee President Pandu Naik, Krishnanand Pai, Zainulabideen, Ganesh Haller, Govind Devadiga and others were present.
