PUC II exams start in Karnataka

Bhatkal: Today is the beginning of second year examination and it will be lasting till 27 of this month. According to the timing given by the government, 10:15 am will be the time for examination and 15 minutes will be alloted to the students for question paper reading. At 10:30 am exam will start.

Brief information about examination in different parts of karnataka as follows:

Uttara kannada :

Overall 15,942 students will be writing the exams, among which 13,369 are new students,1606 of them are repeated students and 967 are old students. From these, 4705 students belong to Arts stream, 7237 from commerce and around 4000 are from science. There are 7155 boys and 8787 girls who will be writing PUC-II exams in district. 29 exam centers are there in U.K, in which 18 centers are under CCTV cameras.

To avoid the illegal activities, unpleasant incidents during the examination and to conduct the exams in the peaceful atmosphere, section 144 is imposed as ordered by Uttar-Kannada DC, SS Nakul.

Udupi:

There are 26 centers in udupi. 16,428 students from the district are appearing in 26 centres for the examinations, which will go on until 27th March. The number of fresh candidates taking up the exams is 14,688. There are 582 repeaters and 1158 private candidates. As many as 2165 are from the arts stream, 8983 from commerce, and 5280 from science stream. Of the total number of candidates appearing for the exams, as many as 8503 are girls and 7925 are boys. 

Dakshina kannada:

There are 52 centers in D.K. Among 38,607 candidates, 19,128 are boys and 19,479 are girls. In arts section there are 5,796 candidates, in commerce 17,396 students and 15,415 candidates will write exam in science stream. There are about 34,428 fresher's and 1,391 repeaters and 2,788 private candidates.

Only 30 candidates will be allowed to sit in one examination hall which will be guarded by CCTVs. 

From beginning till the end of exam hours, prohibitory measures will be taken till 200 meters around the exam centre. No kind of meetings or functions will be encouraged near the centres during the time of exams. All Xerox shops within 200 meters from exam centre will be closed during exam.

For the first time in the history of pre-university examintaion 19 transgender will appear for examination.
