Honnavar: A scuffle broke out between a retired employee of Kumta Municipality Mahesh Palekar and the founder president of Kannada Abhimani Sangha Udayraj Ganapathi at the premises of Honnavar Pattan Panchayat, after which both filed a complaint with the police against each other.

It is learned that Mahesh Palekar, a retired employee of Kumta Municipality, had visited Pattan Panchayat office with some work, during which, Udayraj Ganapathi had a nasty conversation with him, to which Mahesh objected. While he left the office after completing his work, Udayraj got involved with him again, which then gave an ugly turn as they both started squabbling by abusing each other.

In a complaint filed by Mahesh Palekar, it is said that Udayraj Ganapathi had abused and beat him without any reason. He also threatened to kill him. In response, Udayraj has complained to five persons named Mahesh Palekar, Swaraj Palekar, Prithvi Raj Palekar, Samartha Tandel and Siddharth Tandel and accused them of assaulting him.
