Karkala: Head constable meets demise due to cardiac arrest

Karkala: Narasimha Bhandarkar, head constable of Hiriyadka police station, met his demise due to a heart attack during the night on 20th April, Thursday.

Narasimha (55 yrs), a resident of Karakal, was headed home after finishing his duty hours by a bus on Thursday around 9:30 pm, when he suddenly started to experience severe pain in his chest.

Arrangements were made to shift him to a private hospital and after initial treatment was provided to him, he was referred to Kasturba Medical College Hospital at Manipal.

However, he was declared dead by the doctors on admission.

Narasimha has served in various police stations including the one’s at Ajekar and Kundapur. He led the family consisting of a wife, a son and a daughter.

His daughter is married while the son is in the final year of engineering degree course. His funeral took place at 11 am on Friday at Chandu Maidan where the district armed forces office is located.
