Belagavi: Dr K Harish Kumar assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi on Monday evening. He was transferred with immediate effect in the wake of by-elections for Belgaum Lok Sabha Constituency.

Prior to this posting, he was serving as the Commissioner of Employment & Training in Bengaluru.

Deputy Commissioner M G Hiremath who has been transferred handed over the charge to Dr Harish Kumar and wished him success.

Also, Yogeshwar S, who was serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Haveri, assumed charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi. He replaced Ashok Dudgunti.
