Gokarna: Two people died on the spot in an accident involving their bike and a lorry near Makar Hotel in Hiregutti near Gokarna on Saturday late night.

The deceased have been identified as Artik Sagarika (19), a resident of Ambalpadi in Udupi and Sayan Satish Shetty (19). The two students were on their way to Ankola from Kumta side on their bike when a speeding lorry collided head-on with the bike killing both on the spot. Police sent the bodies for postmortem and registered a case.
