Karwar: Excise officials, on Friday seized Rs 15 lakhs worth of liquor being transported in a lorry near Thinnai Ghat, of Joida taluk, on Thursday night.

Approximately 9000 litre liquor was being transported illegally from Goa. The lorry driver Sadham Khan of Madhya Pradesh has been arrested in this connection. The lorry has also been seized. According to the Excise Assistant commissioner Nagashayan, liquor from Goa was being transported to Tamil Nadu.
