Yellapur: Four laborers were killed on the spot due to landslide while working near the garden here at Adgundi in the Taluk on Monday.

According to sources, 7 laborers were working in the garden owned by Manjunath Bhat in Santebail of Adgundi Gram Panchayat limits in Yellapur Taluk. The mud was dug from the land and was being poured into the garden, during which a sudden landslide occured that fell on the laborers and killed four of them.

The deceased have been identified as Bhagya Shri Adige (21), Lakshmi Devipade (38), Santosh Devipade (18) and Maalu Devipade (21), all residents of Yellapur Taluk. 

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the spot. The bodies stuck in the landslide were taken out and sent for government hospitals for post-mortem, police said.
