Mangalore: Four including three members of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Uppala NH 66 in Mangalpady in the neighbouring Kasargod district at early Wednesday morning 4 am. The deceased has been identified as Dr Ramanarayanan (52), his wife Valsala (48), their son Renjith (20) and his friend Nidhin (24).

It is said that the car was on their way to Mangalpady to drop Renjith who was studying at an Ayurveda college. The car lost the control and rammed into the lorry. The impact of the accident was so sever that all the four died on the spot and the car has been completely damaged. Police suspect that Ramanarayanan who was driving the cae may have dozed off leading to the accident. The bodies are kept at a hospital in Mangalpady.
