Yellapur: A man and his daughter were killed in a roas accident involving collision of their scooter with a gas tanker here on NH63 near Arbail in Yellapur taluk.

The deceased were identified as Vinod Kindarkar (56), who was the leading fireman at Yellapur Fire Station, and his 14-year-old daughter Suneha.

The duo were on the way to their native Mudekatta near Avarsa in Ankola taluk from Yellapur on a scooter when a gas tanker hit the scooter from rear end. Both of them died on the spot.

Police registered a case against tanker driver hailing from Tamil Nadu.
