Dandeli: Goods worth two lakhs of rupees were destroyed when a fire broke out in a house at Bailpar region in Dandeli on Sunday.

Fire-tenders took over half-an-hour to douse the fire which engulfed the house belonging to Ravi Natraj, a resident of Bailpar in Dandeli. Luckily, no one was present in the house during the incident so the members of the house escaped unhurt.

It is said that the fire brigade reach the spot soon after getting the information, but by the time fire-tenders reached the spot, goods worth lakhs of rupees had been destroyed.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
