Raichur (DHNS) : The Shaktinagar police are said to have seized explosives that were being carried in two bags from an NEKRTC bus. However, the Superintendent of Police, Chetan Singh Rathore, has denied any such seizure.

According to police, the police control room in Raichur received an anonymous call saying that explosives were being transported in two bags in the NEKRTC bus (KA-36/F-1266) which was bound for Raichur from Hyderabad.

Acting on the information, the Shaktinagar police seized around 2 kg of explosives, two timers and other substances from the bus. However, when contacted, the SP said that no explosives have been seized from the bus. Santhosh Kumar, divisional controller, NEKRTC, said he had information that police searched a bus near Shaktinagar, but had no knowledge about seizure of explosives.
