Mangaluru: A student of an engineering
college has been arrested for allegedly selling MDMA, also
known as ecstasy, in Manipal, 60 kms from here, police
sources said.

The student was caught in a joint operation by Udupi
district police and the internal security division (ISD) on
Sunday near Sheembra bridge, Manipal, the sources said.

A total of 498 ecstasy tablets worth Rs 14.94 lakh were
seized from the accused, they said.

A two-wheeler and a mobile phone were also seized from
him, they said.
