Honnavar: "The developments at the Eco beach site by tourism department at the cost of 8-crore rupees is commendable. In future, this beach could be a hub of tourism in the district", said Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA Sunil Naik.

He was speaking after flagging off 'Save My Beach' campaign that has been initiated to obtain 'Blueflag' certificate that helps famous beaches getting identified at the international level.

Director of Tourism department, Purshottam, speaking on this occasion, said, there's one month time for Eco beach to obtain 'Blueflag' certificate. This campaign is being initiated with safeguarding the beach. This initiative isn't only to attract foreign tourists, but also to protect environment, he added.

On this occasion, DFO K Ganapathi, ACF K T Borayya, RFO Sharath Shetty,  and other forest officials were present.
