NRI forum's Deputy chair person promises to resolve problems of non-residential Kannadigas in UAE

Dubai: Dr. Aarathi Krishna, Deputy chair-person of Karnataka govt's NRI forum, who arrived as the cheif guest in a meeting held at Dubai, promised to fulfill and resolve the problems and barriers faced by the non-resident Kannadigas in their workplace, who are working in the gulf countries. The event was held on 5th February, Sunday at Hotel Jude Palace in Deira, Dubai where thousands of non-resident kannadigas had participated.

The event began in the night after dinner with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Janab Ibrahim. Mr. Samir Kokari welcomed the guests and gave an introductory speech.

Speaking first, Mr. Fazlurrahman, said that the earnings earned in the gulf countries are sent to the India and is made to utilise it for the nation for its development through foreign exchange. Also, the voluntarily given funds is being utilized for the development of the education and other helpful needs in the villages.

President of Kanara Muslim Khaleej council Mr. Abu Muhammad Mukhtasar, introduced the chief guest and welcomed everyone. He informed her about a Bhatkali youth, who is undergoing a treatment in the Saudi Arabia hospital since nine months, who is now expected to return, for whom help from the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj was asked through SahilOnline media, but a proper response was not received. He urged to solve this matter as soon as possible. General secretary of Bhatkal's Rabita society, Ruknuddin Muhiddin, explained the services of Rabita society in Bhatkal. General Secretary of BMJD Yusuf Barmawar said, many activities require assistance and support from the government. Especially to resolve the existing problem of drainage water in Bhatkal, which recently ruined hundreds of water wells, and contaminated the drinking water.

Dr. S M Syed Khaleelur Rahman, said that among indians, Keralians stand in the first place who are employed in gulf, while Karnataka stands in the second place. It has been estimated, by the foreign exchange that the gulf Kannadaigas send around Rs. 1200 crores to India. But, this amount is not used systematically for the development work in our area.

Deputy Chair person Aarathi Krishna said that she has noted down all the problems faced by NRI's in Dubai and she will do her best to present everything to Karnataka CM. She assured to solve the problems as soon as possible.

UAE's well-known kannadigas Abdul Qadir Basha Ruknuddin, Praveen Kumar Shetty, Fakruddin, Harman Louis of Spice FM, Meeran Saheb, Asad Saheb, Zafarullah Khan, Sugandharaj Bekhel of Sharjah's Karnataka Sangha, Dinda Ahmed Ali, Ataurrahman Gauda among many others were present.
