Bhatkal: To curb the spread of novel Coronavirus in Bhatkal, the Health officials along with taluka administration will visit door to door to conduct COVID-19 rapid antigen testings.
It may be recalled that recently a COVID testing camp was conducted within the limits of Jali Panchayat. Now, this campaign is being run within the limits of Bhatkal Town Municipality under the leadership of the Municipality Chief Officer. On September 25, rapid testing was conducted on Nehru Road in Bhatkal city. The campaign will continue in other wards of TMC from today.
Mr. Devaraj, Chief Officer, TMC, said that the Rapid Test identifies people infected with Corona at an early stage, which makes it easier to treat them. In view of this, the paramedics team is performing the operation in the city, for which we expect full cooperation from the people.
Taluka Health Officer Dr. Savita Kamat informed that the number of Corona victims and deaths due to this disease is increasing day by day. Therefore, the health department is trying to ensure that every patient in Corona is treated and no patient dies. Therefore, the people of Bhatkal should fully cooperate in this campaign and help in curbing this deadly virus.
On this occasion, Chief officer of Jaali Pattan Panchayat Ajay Bandarkar, PSI Naveen, Bharath, Health officer Sujiya Soman and others were present.
