Sirsi: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials arrested development officer (PDO) in Janmane Gram Panchayat of Sirsi Taluka, after he was caught red-handed taking bribe.

The arrested is identified as Krishnappa Elogi.

According to the reports, a farmer named Sudhindra Hegde had built a house about eight years ago. A bribe of Rs 15,000 was being demanded from the PDO for entering the house register number. Sudhindra Hegde reported the matter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The ACB team then set a trap to arrest the bribe-taker PDO, after which they arrested Krishnappa red-handed.  

A case has been registered at Karwar ACB police station.
