Bhatkal: A dead body of a man was found here in an open field opposite to TFC hotel near Shamshuddin Circle in Bhatkal on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as a KSRTC bus driver, Nagraj Manje Gowda (57), a resident of Hassan.

Upon receiving the information of the body lying in the open field, the Bhatkal town police personnel rushed to the spot and after conducting the necessary investigation, the body was shifted to the mortuary of the government hospital. During the initial examination, blood was seen spilling out of his mouth.

It is reported that the man was an alcoholic and had disappeared from the house on October 11, about which his wife and son had lodged a missing complaint at the Hassan rural Police Station. It is also studied that he often vomited blood. 

Town Police Station ASI Naveen Borkar registered the case and the body was handed over to the family members after autopsy at the Bhatkal government hospital.
