Bhatkal: "Bhatkal Sports Academy in association with Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation have planned to organize the Inter Cricket League for players under the age of 14, 16, and 19 from Uttara Kannada district for selection of the performance of players to be referred to the division level and to check the potentiality of the players by conducting the said League", informed Managing Director of Bhatkal Sports Academy, Mr Waseem KM.
According to press release, the selection of the players will be held on 12th and 13th December 2020, (Saturday & Sunday) and fee for registration of each participant is Rs.100. Of all the players participating for selection, 130 outstanding players will be selected for League. The selection of players will be held at the Bhatkal Sports Academy, SIM Enclave opposite to TFC Inn, and League is scheduled on 19th December 2020 at YMSA Ground, Bhatkal.
The release added, we are organizing this event as the players have got the opportunity to prove their performance and to provide the opportunity to the players who have performed outstanding to get recognition and paved the way for their bright future and also by conducting such an event we are supplementing the career opportunities of the players by showering their performance and also towards their employment in future, he noted.
Those interested players should bring passport size photograph and Birth Certicate/School Certifcate Copy. All Players should come in White Cricket dress. It shall be noted players from Uttara Kannada district only are allowed to particilate in Selection.
Bhatkal Sports League will start from 19th December 2020. After the Leagues, as per the performance of players, one team each will be made in age criteria, all Selected players will be given training in Bhatkal Sports Academy. Selected team will represent Bhatkal Sports Club in KSCA Inter Club and KSCA Approved tournaments in Hubli Division.
Below is the age criteria for the selections:
Under 14 - Boys should be born on or after 1st September 2007
Under 16 – Boys should be born on or after 1st September 2005
Under 19 - Boys should be born on or after 1st September 2002
