Bhatkal: A 42-Year-Old auto rickshaw driver who took Corona infected girl (P659) to hospital on May 1 on his auto rickshaw was among the seven other who tested positive for novel Coronavirus on Sunday.

The 18-year-old girl who was tested Corona positive on May 5, was rushed to Bhatkal government hospital on May 1 on the pretext of cough and fever. Upon receiving the girl's reports as Corona positive, the throat swabs of those who came in contact with her were collected including the auto driver's.

As today on Sunday the reports of auto driver came out to be Corona positive, his wife and three children have been quarantined. In wake of this, Taluka administration are tracing out people who came in contact with the auto driver.

So far Bhatkal alone in Uttara Kannada district reported 39 cases of COVID-19, which includes 28 active cases and 11 recoveries.
