Bhatkal: To curb the spread of novel Coronavirus disease in the region, Uttara Kannada district administration has come up with a step that provides treatment to the citizens at the doorstep in Bhatkal.

As Bhatkal in the district has confirmed 7 positive cases of Coronavirus, the region is declared under health emergency and high alert. Despite total lockdown, few people were reportedly roaming with reasons of approaching medical centers to purchase medicines.

Though Bhatkal has been a sensitive place for the spread of virus, the administration has initiated this step, where in the citizens who need medical steps can call the doctor at their doorstep.

If the need of advanced treatment arises, a facility shall be availed to arrange Ambulance to take patients to the hospital. The administration has appointed 8 doctors, who will be assisting the patients until 14th April.
