COVID-19 in Uttara Kannada: 4 more Bhatkal patients recover, discharged

Bhatkal: Of the 29 Bhatkali people in Uttara Kannada district who were tested positive for novel Coronavirus after coming in contacts with a private hospital in Mangaluru, who were admitted at KIMS hospital in Karwar, 20 of them were discharged last Saturday, while four more have also recovered and discharged from KIMS on Tuesday. The four discharged persons reached Bhatkal Government Hospital by ambulance this evening from where they were instructed to go under home quarantine.

Sources said that the four people who reached Bhatkal after recovering today include a 68-year-old man, his daughter, a 30-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl.

Sources also informed that the reports of three more people with Mangalore links who are admitted at KIMS hospital have come as negative for Coronavirus, but they are waiting to receive the reports of their mates so as to get discharge all at once. It has been reported that after receiving negative reports of remaining Bhatkali patients, all of them are likely to get discharged together in the next two to three days.
