Honnavar: “I have registered a complaint with the police against a person who falsely claimed on social media that he brought a Covid-19 affected person from Gerusoppa to Honnavar Government Hospital for treatment,” said Taluk Government Hospital Administrative Medical officer Rajesh Kini.

Dr Kini said that no cases of Covid-19 affected persons have been reported in Honnavar taluk till now. Police need to take action against those who try to create panic among the people.

Police said that no action has been taken against anyone in connection with the case. It was said that a youth named Rohan of Gerusoppa had disseminated such fake news on social media.
