Bhatkal: Seven more people on Sunday tested positive for novel Coronavirus in Bhatkal, due to which the total number of active cases in the Uttara Kannada district increased by 28.

On May 5, when a 18-year-old girl was tested Corona positive, samples of the family members who came in contact with her were sent for testing. The first day of the report tested positive for 12 people. In the next day, 8 more people's report came out to be positive, while on Sunday more 7 people have been tested positive for Coronavirus. Thus, making the total number of infected people rise to 28.

It shall be noted that Uttara Kannada district reported a total of 39 Coronavirus cases, among which 11 have been cured and discharged successfully.
