Bhatkal: A consumer awareness programme was organized jointly by the Government First Grade College, Bhatkal, and the Federation of Consumer and Voluntary Organizations, Bengaluru.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Somashekhar V.K., Founder and Executive Committee Member of Grahak Shakti, a non-political consumer organization based in Bengaluru, by watering a plant. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of protecting consumer rights and stated that consumers have the opportunity to submit their grievances to the concerned customer service representatives. He urged the public to make proper use of such platforms to resolve network-related and other mobile service issues in their respective areas.
BSNL official Shri Nagaraj, who attended as the chief guest, provided detailed information about the various services and facilities offered by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
Presiding over the function, the Principal of Government First Grade College, Bhatkal, Shri Nagesh Shetty, highlighted the significance of consumer rights awareness, stating that it plays a vital role in day-to-day life.
Among others present were IQAC Coordinator Shri Suresh Metgar, Assistant Professors Shri Annapa Naik and Smt. Mohini Attimani, and Federation member Shri Manoj Murdeshwar.
The programme began with a welcome address by Smt. Vaishali G.R., followed by an introduction of the guests by Smt. Sangeeta Chimmani. Kumari Khushi Shetty compered the event, while Shri Dhanraj N.A. delivered the vote of thanks.
