The grand Dasara Mahotsava at the Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple here began on Monday with the installation of goddesses Navadurga and Sharada.
The celebrations will be held till October 6 during which period various cultural and spiritual programmes will be conducted on the temple premises, the temple authorities said.
“Pushpalankara pooja” will be conducted every day at 12.30 pm and “Bhajana”

The dean of a reputed private hospital in the city has gone missing, police said on Monday.
Sources said Dr Urbun D’Souza had told his wife that he was going to a nearby shop and left home on his two-wheeler late on Sunday night.
He has since been missing since then and later his mobile phone was also found to be switched off.

The Supreme Court on Monday said it will have its own "platform" to live-stream its proceedings and the use of YouTube for the purpose is temporary.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Uday Umesh Lalit said this when former BJP leader K N Govindacharya's counsel argued that the copyright of apex court proceedings cannot be surrendered to private platforms like YouTube.
