Karwar: Chief Secretary of Karnataka, P Ravi Kumar, visited the Karwar Naval Base, where he was briefed on the progress of activi ties with respect to development of Project Seabird.

After being received by Vice Admiral PK Bahl, Director General, Seabird, the CS toured the Naval base as well as the Naval harbour to assess the marine infrastructure being developed as part of Project Seabird Phase II A.

He also reviewed works of Seabird associated with the State government as part of a state-level coordination committee like vented barrage, civil and naval air station. Power infrastructure issues were also reviewed at the Uttara Kannada DC's office with state government officials.
