Bhatkal: The Markazi Khalifa Jamatul Muslimeen of Bhatkal hosted a felicitation ceremony for its chief Qazi Maulana Khwaja Mohiddin Akrami Nadvi, for completing Hifz e Qur'an (Memorization of holy Qur'an) in a span of just eight months. The event was held at Khalifa Jamia Masjid after Isha prayers on Saturday.

On this occasion, addressing the gathering, Maulana Hussain Nadvi, general secretary of All India Message of Humanity Forum, spoke on the subject importance of Qur'an. He said, Allah opens the way for those who obey him and adopt the guidelines of Qur'an on a practical level. If one reads Qur'an with the intention of purifying himself with recitation, then it will definitely be self-purifying, he noted.

Following his speech, Maulana Ilyaz Jakti Nadvi, Maulana Aiman Nadvi, Maulana Maqbool Ahmed Nadvi, Maulana Rahmatullah Ruknaddin Nadvi, Maulana Talha Nadvi, Maulana Shafi Shabandari and many others too expressed their views on Maulana Khwaja Nadvi for his excellent achievement of memorizing the holy Qur'an, and congratulated him.

It is to be noted that Maulana Khwaja Mohiddin Akrami Nadvi is 53 years by age and was still able to memorize the holy Qur'an in a span of just eight months despite busy schedules.

The program began with the recitation of versus from holy Qur'an by Hussain s/o Abdul Azeem DF, followed with the naat recitation by Maulana Muhammad Amir Siddibapa Nadvi. Maulana Haroon Kandluri Nadvi welcomed, and Maulana Meera Irshad Naite introduced the guests.

The ritual of the Qur'an completion was carried out by Maulana Niyamatullah Askeri Nadvi. Then, Maulana Khwaja Mohiddin Akrami Nadvi was felicitated and honoured with momento by the Jamaat officials.

Jamaat President Mohtesham Jaffar presided the event, Talha Siddibapa gave vote of thanks and Maulana Yaseen Naite Nadvi compered the event. The program concluded with 'Dua' by Maulana Sadiq Akrami Nadvi.

On this occasion, Chief Qazi of Bhatkal Maulana Iqbal Mulla Nadvi, President of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem SM Syed Ahmed Parvez, Bhatkal Jamia Islamia President Shafi Shabandari, General Secretary of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal Ismail Siddiqua, Additional general secretary Ishaq Shabandari, Former President of Markazi Khalifa Jamatul Muslimeen SM Saqaf, vice-president of Markazi Khalifa Jamatul Muslimeen Abubakar Qamri, General Secretary Meera Sada and others were present.
