Kundapur: A senior police official was injured after he was hit by a speedy lorry at Marvanthe NH66 near Kundapur and was immediately rushed to nearby hospital. The impact of collision made the car to loose it's shape right from front to rear.

The injured has been identified as Krishna Murthy, a resident of Ankola. He was said to be working as senior clerk in Udupi SP office. Krishna Murthy was on his way towards Udupi from​ Ankola, while a speedy lorry was moving towards Bhatkal route from Kundapur, when the accident took place.

A case has been registered in Gangolli police station and further investigations are on.
