Bhatkal: An exclusive blood donation camp for women was organised by Women's Club of Bhatkal here at Bhatkal Women's Centre, and about 100 units of blood were collected.

The camp was inaugurated by Jayshree Moger, President Zilla Panchayat, Uttara Kannada.

After inaugurating, Jayshree Moger thanked Women's Club Bhatkal for making this camp a grand success and arranging donors for this noble cause. "We wanted to create awareness among women that it is safe for them to donate blood", she added.

Women’s Club Bhatkal organized this camp in association with Udupi Blood Bank, Taluka Hospital Bhatkal, Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO), Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women’s wing Bhatkal, ASHA workers and ANMs (Nurse).

On this occasion, Dr. Savita Kamath, Dr. Shams Noor, Dr. Veena Kumari, Dr. Fathima Taneem, Principal Heena, Nabeera Mohtesham and many others were present.
