Mangaluru: Rahim Uchil, State BJP minority morcha vice-president took odium at the continuous efforts by vested interests to target him personally on 22nd March Wednesday.
He said that the latest attempt to portray him 'non-Muslim' following a recent courtesy meeting with Vishvesha Tirtha swami of Adhokshaja Pejavar Math and personal canards being spread about him, is the end of the line of what he can bear.
Rahim is also the former president of KBSA(Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy). He told reporters that their derogatory comments have gone viral and he is facing a tough time answering calls from well-wishers and handling threat calls from the fringe within his community, following the anguish expressed against him on a Facebook page ‘Mangalore Muslims’.
He further said,"I am being judged by individuals taking refuge in the anonymity that social media offers them and not by clerics", on Wednesday.
He is been provided with a gunman after a murder attempt was made against him while heading to the academy.
