Sirsi (DHNS): BJP State Women’s Wing President Bharati Shetty has appealed to BJP State president to reserve at least one seat for woman in every district in the ensuring assembly elections. She hoped that the BJP state president would fulfill her demand.

Speaking to reporters, on Wednesday, she said, BJP was committed to give priority for women in politics. BJP State president has been appealed to reserve at least two seats in districts having eight assembly constituencies and one seat in districts having four constituencies. BJP State president has promised to look into the matter positively.

She said, BJP had been reviewing political situation across the State. It had informed 250 mandals and appointed executive committees for them.

The committees had been holding organizing meetings every three months to prepare for assembly elections. Woman cells had been set up in every booth. BJP would do justice to people, she said. Answering a query, she said, there was no confusion in BJP’s Women cell. BJP leaders were able to solve difference of opinions among leaders on some issues in the party.

District BJP Women Wing President Rekha Hegde, leaders Gayathri Gouda, Usha Hegde, Shobha Naik and others were present.
