Bhatkal: A well-known personality and a dairyman, Mahalappa (Raya) Hanumantha Pai passed away at the age of 88 at his residence in Kiravatti in Bhatkal taluk on Tuesday, 14th January.

Late Mahalappa served as a President of GSB community and was also among an active member in the management of various temples in the taluk. Hundreds of people including prominent personalities of the community attended at his residence to pay last respect.

Mahalappa is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter.
