Bhatkal: Host Uttara Kannada, Bengaluru win 8th Karnataka deaf Champions Trophy 2022

Bhatkal: The Host Uttara Kannada Men cricket team and Bengaluru’s Women Cricket team for the hearing impaired clinched the Karnataka state 8th Deaf Cricket T20 Champions Trophy for men and women here at taluka stadium, Bhatkal.

Host Uttara Kannada Men cricket team beat Dakshina Kannada District by six wicket in final and Bangaluru women team beat Udupi by 5 wickets.

In men's, Winning Uttara Kannada team was awarded an attractive trophy and a cash prize of 30,000 INR, while runners-up Dakshina Kannada received a cash prize of 15,000 INR and third place Kalaburgi received cash prize of 10,000 INR with the trophy. 

Player of the Tournament was awarded to Souban Armar of Uttara Kannada, Best Batsman to Vishwanath of Kalaburgi, and Best Bowler to Abhikshek of Dakshina Kannada. Man of the Match at Final was awarded to Honnaya Moger of Uttar kannada.

 In women, Winning Bengaluru team was awarded an attractive trophy and a cash prize of 8,000 INR and while runners-up Udupi received a cash prize of 5,000 INR. 

Player of the Tournament was awarded to Aparna Hegde of Bengaluru, Best Batswoman to Laxmi of Bengaluru, and Best Bowler of woman to Harshita of Udupi. Man of the woman at Final was awarded Aparna of Bengaluru.

At the closing ceremony, Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandari, General Secretary Abdur Raqeeb MJ, Ranjan Gas propertier Shivani Shantaram, Abdus Salam Shabandari, Abdus Sami Kola, Uttara Kannada Deaf Association advisor Divyashree Vaidya, Uttara Kannada Deaf Association President Honnaya Moger, Uttara Kannada Deaf Association general Secretary Yusuf Motiya, Ganesh Roa, Technical Director All India Sports Council of the Deaf, New Delhi, GS Naveen Kumar, General Secretary, Karnataka Sports Federation of the Deaf, Bangalore, V Kumar, CEO, Karnataka Sports Federation of the Deaf, Bangalore and many others were present.
