Bhatkal: A space for Canteen and Xerox shops will be rented out in the new building of Bhatkal Mini Vidhan Soudha for which a general auction will be held on February 16 at 12 PM.

According to statement issued by Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal, a three-year tender will be issued to run a canteen having space of 750 square feet on the ground floor of Mini Vidhana Soudha for the convenience of the public and government staff. In addition, space will be available for setting up two 100-square-feet Xerox shops within the premises of Mini Vidhana Soudha.

The space for both these facilities will be given to the highest bidder through general auction on the following conditions:

1. Those wishing to participate in the auction will have to deposit Rs 5,000 in cash or DD in advance. DD has to be issued in the name of Mini Vidhana Soudha Management Committee

2. One of the two Xerox stores will be reserved for the SC / ST category.

 3. Those who win the bid will have to set up Canteen/Xerox shops at their own expense.

4. Successful bidders will have to deposit an advance amount of Rs. 50,000 within 48 hours of the completion of the auction.

5. Officially, the monthly rent for a canteen has been fixed at Rs 5,000 and for a Xerox shop at Rs 3,000. Auction participants will have to bid more than that.
