Bhatkal: Five merit-cum-means scholarships to the PU passed students for the BE programs have been announced by Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Bhatkal, for the year 2019-20, exclusively for non-Muslims students.
Issuing a press release, president of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal, Abdul Rahim Jukaku, said that the scholarship has been provided as part of its centenary celebrations, and as per its founding father's vision of providing help to all section of society, in pursuing quality education. The Scholarships named Late Zubaida Shamsuddin Jukaku, would be provided to cover the tuition fees to the PU passed students for the BE programs at AITM, he added.
He further informed that the scholarship is for all the four years of the Engineering education.
According to the release, the following is the criteria for eligibility for this scholarship:
* PUC II Science (or equivalent) passed students with at least 70 percent in Physics-Chemistry-Maths combination.
* Parental Income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs annually.
According to the release, the scholarship will be continued for the subsequent years of the engineering course, provided the student scores 7.5 SGPA in both the semesters of the previous academic year, without failing in any subject at the University examinations.
It is also informed that Anjuman reserves the right to modify the rules of the scholarship with prior notice.
Last date for application is June 20th 2019, which should be submitted on plain paper with details of name, address, marks obtained in PUC, annual income of parents/guardian, with copy of marks card and admission details, if already admitted in AITM.
This Scholarship is in addition to the Scholarship of free tuition fees for all Engineering courses for all students who score more than 90% in PUC or qualifying examinations who take admission in AITM Bhatkal.
