Bhatkal: Bhatkal Urban Cooperative Bank recently got ‘Banko Award-2016’ in the Rs 251- 500 crore deposit category in Alibag of Maharashtra. In the three-day event held in Maharashtra, more than 250 cooperative banks from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat took part.

The cooperative bank was getting this award for the second consecutive year. Bank chairman Abdul Majeed Chougule, directors Abdul Khalikhan Soudagar and Jafar Sadiq Shabandri received the award.

It may be recalled here that Bhatkal Urban Cooperative Bank had also received best lending bank, best working bank, best CBS implementation bank, award of excellence and others.
